The overall aim of this induction module is to help you find your way around the organisation and access the support and resources you need to successfully facilitate an AMEE-ESME course or Masterclass. All of our facilitators are selected based on their prior experience and expertise as educators, therefore the course is not intended to train you as a facilitator per se, but rather to induct you into AMEE and help you understand your specific roles and responsibilities. We'll briefly cover how to navigate our online learning platform, but you can access technical support or request an online one-to-one walkthrough of the platform by emailing courses@amee.org
Most of the module content is optional and can be revisited at any time. There are a few compulsory activities which we ask you to complete before beginning your work with us. You'll see these in the progress bar - you can hover over this to see any incomplete tasks and click to access them.
This induction is designed to be self-directed and can be completed at your own pace - there is no minimum time requirement so you can spend as much or as little time as you need to. However, you won't be able to start work with us until any compulsory activities have been completed - if you have agreed to facilitate a course with a fixed start date, we'll let you know when the deadline for this is. We estimate that it will take the average learner around one hour to complete the module.
Thank you again for helping us to promote excellence in health professions education and inspire educators around the world.
